We also got more colors of the glorious Kenzie, a sumptuous blend in gorgeous colors. New Zealand merino, angora and alpaca lend softness and body, nylon lends strength and silk noils contribute delicate texture and color accents. The smooth, round 3-ply yarn knits into a cohesive fabric that blooms when wet blocked. The angora haze is just fuzzy enough to lend a cozy feel, but not so fuzzy that it will obscure any stitch patterning. You will love it.
It washes beautifully and develops a gentle halo over time. Itch-free and affordable, it’s an incredible basic that will be an instant favorite. We’re celebrating the arrival of this cool new yarn with a free pattern for the Tayberry hat.
Once again for the 2013-2014 holiday season we are collecting scarves for our friend Kristina, read what she has to say, and see how many girls you have loved by making them something special for the holidays.
Together we have collected 693 scarves. With each scarf we have spread a lot of joy & love to hundreds of girls & women struggling to overcome Eating Disorders.
With the help of Wool & Co., and all of YOU this will be my 6th year collecting knitted scarves to send girls & women receiving treatment for Eating Disorders over the holiday season. With each scarf I attach a message reminding the girls that beauty lies in imperfection, and the strength to overcome their Eating Disorders lies in perseverance.
It means so much that so many of you take time out of your busy holiday season to support me & my cause to spread hope to girls that need a reminder how beautiful & loved they are. I am so grateful for all your continued support! You can drop off or send your scarves anytime from now until December 22nd to the Wool & Co. store.
I do hope you will be able to help Kristina fulfill her wish, and remember If you have the time but no yarn, we can always find you something to knit with for this project, just ask.
