Food Drive – Thank You

Food Drive Thank YouThank you to everyone who supported our Oktoberfestchen and participated in our food drive. Despite a sputtering griddle we had a lot of fun and served more than 100 potato pancakes.  A big thank you also to Graham’s Chocolate who provided the fantastic location.

Here’s a picture of what we collected.   Also, thank you for the kind donations of cash.  We anticipate being able to add approximately 1000 pounds more of food using these donations.

Our customers are the best.

Don’t forget, you can continue to drop of food at the store through September 26th, and if you would prefer to give a cash donation, you can do that online.

    Thanks Cynthia. You know we had a big fancy restaurant quality grill there. Full propane bottle, but after running it for about 90 minutes we realized it was never going to get hot enough. So we scrambled to get the electric hot plates, and I agree they were only just adequate.

    Still don’t know what was wrong with the big guy, but next year we’ll make sure it works. And thanks for the tip re: United Methodist.

    So sorry that your hubbie got a bad pancake.

    Neil,
    The electric grills just don’t cut it. My husband’s pancake was raw. Why don’t you borrow or rent the grills from the United Methodist Church of Geneva. They produce wonderful pancakes year after year.
