Never Mind the Quantity – Feel the Community
We’re here in Portland, Oregon exhibiting at the Sock Summit 2009. We left Chicago on Monday morning and spent two and a half days hauling our trailer full of a selection of the the yarns and goodies that we have available in our Geneva store every day. The journey is a story in itself, and maybe for another time.
We got the both set up ready for the show opening at 430pm yesterday evening (Thursday), and ready to see hundreds (maybe thousands) the frantic and excited knitters hit the floor to buy.
There’s a distinct “vibe” here. It has been a while since I’ve seen so much passion on display. There’s a real sense of community too. This show is different … although it is huge -it is not about volume … it’s community and quality.
