The Nuss from Berroco – a basic cardigan with a gently flared shape. It has an easily memorized lace pattern that decorates the fluted bottom. Finished with crochet and a cluster of buttons.

The Knitalong (KAL) participants are making great progress.  One of these folks has completed the knitting and is ready to put together the different pieces.  Can you guess who?

There was much discussion as to whether to block and sew, or to sew and block.  The decision was to sew and block using a “Wooly Board” – available in the store.

This super soft yarn has all the rustic appeal of a classic tweed yarn but with a high dose of mohair and angora. With wear these garments will develop a soft and fuzzy halo.     Pat, I have to agree with you. I love a good nuss too! Who doesn’t?

    Sometimes though you need to stretch it out because it’s too small. Do you agree?

    What experiences have you had with your nuss? Or has there been several nuss’s?

    My guess is there’s probably a laundry list of nuss’s. Ranging in variety and size.

    I’ve had my share of nuss’s. Have you experienced the sloppy nuss? It’s one that just kinda looks worn and torn.

    I don’t like to wear those ones too often. I’d rather a fresh nuss to show off to the world.

    Nothing beats a good Nuss!

    The best kind is around the 21-23 range.

    I find those nuss’s are harder to wear out.

    When you get to the 60-64 nuss things start to go south. They don’t last as long.

    Next Row (WS) Work in pat as established across first 7 sts, purl to end dec 2 ( inc 2 – inc 3 – inc 4 – inc 4 – inc 8 ) sts across- 41(45-50-55-60-64) sts.

    Shape Armhole: Bind off 4(5-7-9-10-12) sts at beg of the next row, knit keeping last 7 sts of frontband in pat as established – 37(40-43-46-50-52) sts.

    Dec Row (RS): K1, k2 tog, knit keeping last 7 sts of frontband in pat as established- 36(39-42-45-49-51) sts.
