Arne & Carlos Traditional Klo Pattern Wrist Warmers Workshop, Saturday, November 5, 10am-1pm

2 In Stock. Ships in 1-2 days

Hone your stranded colorwork skills & learn to knit & purl the Norwegian way.  In this 3 hour workshop you will have the opportunity to learn from world renowned knit designers Arne & Carlos.  The project will be a lovely pair of wrist warmers featuring a traditional stranded knitting Klo pattern from Setesdal.  It was common in days of yore to wear wrist warmers.  The Klo pattern is inspired by the traditional Norwegian “løyesaum” embroidery, which is found in the Folk Costumes and Lice Sweaters from Setesdal.

Scandinavians Arne Nerjordet and Carlos Zachrisson are highly regarded fashion designers, textile artists, YouTubers and authors. They are best known for their original, colourful and visually striking designs, as well as their knitwear and their books. Their work is highly influenced by their Scandinavian background and everyday life in rural Norway.

This is a beginner workshop, but we recommend that you have done at least one stranded colorwork project & are familiar with the technique.  We will be offering complimentary stranded knitting workshops throughout the Fall prior to the Arne & Carlos Workshops.  Our knitters are also always happy to recommend a first pattern & help you get started so you are ready to go!

Here are the materials you will need to bring to the workshop.  Please make any necessary purchases well in advance of the workshop, as there will not be time to shop before the workshop.

**Please note this class has homework to complete prior to the start of class.  Our staff of knitters would be delighted to help you complete the homework.  We will also be hosting a “Klo Wrist Warmer Homework Knit Night” in October prior to the workshop.
