Keep warm without sacrificing functionality with the elegant pragmatism of the Ballantine mitts. A dense, cabled braid anchors the top of these fingerless mitts, fading to small twists on the palm for fuss-free, everyday use. Slightly elongated cuffs are perfect for tucking into your coat sleeve, while a thumb gusset provides just the right fit — all in Arbor’s springy Targhee wool or Dapple’s dreamy blend of Organic Cotton and Merino.

Please note: the stitch patterns used for this accessory include written as well as charted instructions.

Construction

Mitts are worked circularly from the bottom up. A thumb gusset is worked and then stitches for the thumb are set aside to be worked in the round after the remainder of the hand is finished.
Two size options, small and large, are provided.
