New Knitting Workshops & KAL
- Posted on

This summer relax with new knitting workshops at Wool & Co.!
Beginning July 11 we will start offering free workshops that will cover a wide range of techniques & topics. From how to do magic loop & two-handed colorwork to swatching & blocking basics, the workshops are open to everyone at every skill level. No sign-up required...just show-up, enjoy & soak up new tips & techniques.
Our first workshop on Sunday, July 11 from 11am-12pm is “Marling, Blending & Fading.” We will discuss the difference between fading & marling, how to choose colors, mix bases & develop sequences.
If you would like to actively follow along then please bring fingering, sport, or dk weight yarn (a few yards of leftovers are fine) in multiple colors, variegated and speckles. Please also bring needles in various sizes if possible (US 6-8 are ideal). If you have yarns you are hoping to work into a fade or marl absolutely bring those as well!
Of course, you are welcome to also just sit back, listen & observe as well.
The workshop is a great segue into our July KAL- Le Pouf. Join us on Thursdays, starting July 15 from 6pm-8pm as we begin the KAL. It will run for 6 weeks. Le Pouf by Beata Jezek is available in a cardigan or pullover & is knit with 5 “fading” colors of Hedgehog Fibres Sock, Sporty Singles or fingering weight yarn. This is a great piece to have in time for lovely Fall weather!
Happy Knitting!
