Bluebells by Jacqueline van Dillen is a polished poncho that can be dressed up or down. Bluebells features a smooth stockinette stitch with a beautiful lace border to add visual interest. The poncho is simple to construct as it is essentially a rectangle knit flat, then seamed along one side with a neat three needle bind-off. The pattern showcases richly hued Malabrigo Sock, a fingering weight yarn spun from 100% Merino wool.
Knit the poncho in a tonal colorway as shown in the photo or go all out with one of the more variegated colorways. Either way, we recommend alternating skeins when working with hand-dyed yarn for optimal blending. One of the methods is to alternate knitting two rows from one ball, then two rows from another ball.
To knit the poncho you will need 4 skeins of Malabrigo Sock yarn & a size US 3, 24” circular needle.
Degraw is a quick & cozy, asymetrical shawl that features a cool chevron pattern. It requires just 4 skeins of Malabrigo Rasta: two skeins each of two contrasting or coordinating colorways. It is fun to have one color as a tonal & the other as a variegated. The shawl requires a size US 19, 24” or 32” circular needle.
Flicker & Fade is a happy & colorful, gradient infinity cowl knit with soft, smooshy Malabrigo Chunky. The super simple cowl has options for a long or short option, but you do not have to decide now because both options require just one skein each of 4 colors. The pattern requires a size US 13, 24” (short version) or 32” (long version) circular needle.
Through the month of January, enjoy receiving the Bluebells or Degraw pattern complimentary when you purchase the minimum quantity of Malabrigo yarn for the project. Enjoy shopping the gorgeous collection of Malabrigo yarns.
