Bonneville Wrap by Tayler Harris
Shibui Vine, color Bone
Cool, breathable & wearable accessories are key during warmer summer months! Ideal for backyard gatherings or an outdoor stroll, the Bonneville Wrap by Tayler Harris checks all of these boxes. Light & crisp, the wrap is knit with DK weight Shibui Vine.
Vine is one of Shibui’s newer yarns & you will not believe it, but the yarn is a blend of washed paper, cotton & silk. The washed paper has a similar feel to linen & delivers a crisp, light fabric that continues to soften with wear & washing.
If you love linen, then Vine is a fun & interesting yarn to try. The Fibre Co. Luma would also be a nice choice for a softer version with a little less structure.
The Bonneville Wrap is a straight forward knit that creates a mesh-like, lacey fabric using a pattern of “make one” stitches that are passed over and off the needle, along with basic knitting and purling.
To knit the Bonneville, you will need 5 skeins of Shibui Vine or 750 yards of DK weight yarn & size US 9, 32” circular needles.
Happy Knitting!
