Chubby Mitts by Anne Sheridan,
Hedgehog Fibres Chubby, color Pop
This week we are featuring four patterns that showcase fun & fabulous Hedgehog Fibres Chubby. Chubby is a unique super bulky yarn that has bits of black fiber spun into the yarn randomly to create visual interest. Combine this cool spinning technique with Hedgehog’s colorways & you have a yarn that knits into gorgeous, one-of-a-kind accessories.
We recently had a Wool & Co. cast member KAL where everyone chose their favorite color & knit a 1-2 skein project...the finished accessories & home items are really beautiful!
Chubby Mitts by Anne Sheridan are fast, simple & use just one skein of Hedgehog Fibres Chubby. The mitts were knit by Wendy on size US 10.5 double point needles. The pattern is also easy to customize as she made each wrist 8 rows longer.
The Enthusiasm Hat by Jennifer Thompson is the perfect winter warmer. Simple knits & purls make this hat a great two hour project. With the perfect amount of slouch, the hat looks great on everyone. The hat requires two skeins of Hedgehog Fibres Chubby & size US 13, 16” circular & double point needles.
This week we also have two crochet projects! The Herringbone Crochet Basket by Briana K Designs is versatile & can be used for plants, decor... or of course yarn/notions. The small & medium size baskets use one skein each of Hedgehog Fibres Chubby & the large requires two skeins. All were crocheted by Kassy on a size M (9mm) crochet hook.
Harriet the Hedgehog by Renata (pattern available on ETSY) is an absolutely adorable new member of the family. This pattern was crocheted by Jan on a 2.5mm crochet hook using 50g of a cotton/acrylic blend yarn & one skein of Hedgehog Fibres Chubby for the quills.
See these projects & many more during the Wool & Co. Hedgehog Fibres Trunk Show through July 29th.
