January is an exciting month for new collections. Madelinetosh has just launched their newest designer collection featuring knit designs by Melanie Berg, Tamara Gore, Maysa Tomikawa & other designers.
Headlining the collection is the swoon worthy “Up All Night” wrap by Melanie Berg. Knit in Madelinetosh TML + Tweed, this lace & garter creation is soft, drapey & beautifully textured. TML + Tweed is essentially a subtle, tweedy version of Tosh Merino Light with delicious little nubby accents.
The shawl requires just 1 skein each of Madelinetosh TML + Tweed in Phantasm, Glazed Pecan & Paper, as well as a size US 4, 40” circular needle.

The next stunner in the collection is Cedar Brook by Tamara Gore. This colorwork sweater is knit in tonal Madelinetosh DK in Saffron (MC) & Pink Clay (CC). This unexpected, yet beautiful color combination knits into a comfy & unique pullover. The sweater is knit seamlessly, top down, in the round. The back is shaped with short rows for a nice fit & knitting the sweater top down enables customization of the sweater & sleeve length.
Here is what you will need to knit the Cedar Brook:
Finished bust circumference: 33.5, 38, 42.75, 45.75, 49.5, 54, 58, 61.75, 65.5“ **Designed to be worn with 4” of positive ease.

MC (Saffron): 4, 5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7, 8, 9 skeins
CC (Pink Clay): 1, 1, 1, 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 2 skeins
Size US 6, 32” & US 4, 16” circular needles + US 4 & 6 double point needles
**Circular needle one size larger than gauge needle if needed to maintain gauge over colorwork

Also in the collection is Mountaineer by Maysa Tomikawa, a generous, geometric shawl that is knit in Madelinetosh Tosh Merino Light held together with mohair beauty Madelinetosh Impression. For a spring version, simply omit the mohair & change your needle size as the pattern instructs.
To knit Mountaineer, you will need 1 skein each of four colors of Tosh Merino Light & 1 skein each of the four coordinating colors of Impression. The photo sample showcases colors Glazed Pecan, Saffron, Pink Clay & Paper. You will also need a size US 6, 32” circular needle.
