Making Advances by Jennifer Dassau
Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles,
colors Urchin & Vengeance
Ultimately wearable, this shawl will become a go-to piece for seasons to come. Making Advances by Jennifer Dassau is a long, easy to style shawl knit with two contrasting colors of Hedgehog Fibres Skinny Singles. Hand-dyed in Cork, Ireland, color comes to life on this soft, single-ply fingering weight yarn spun from 100% Merino wool.
Color is the star of this triangular shawl, so Jennifer kept the knitting simple & relaxed...perfect for summer! The piece is worked top-down from a garter tab cast-on for the main triangle, then stitches are bound-off on one side. The remaining side is worked in a long asymmetric extension.
The finished shawl is 75” long & 22” deep. It requires just 1 skein each of two Hedgehog Skinny Singles in contrasting colors & a size US 6, 32” circular needle.
The pattern is available to buy in store and on Ravelry.
Happy Knitting!
