Feature Pattern of the Week - Nambu

This week we have three versatile, all season pieces designed by Marie Wallin for Rowan. Both the jacket & two pullovers are knit in Rowan Softyak DK a velvety soft blend of cotton & yak with a touch of nylon. The yak fiber gives the yarn a beautiful, subtle heathered effect that translates to a rich fabric.
Nambu is a comfortable jacket that adds a layer of warmth & style. The jacket is knit in pieces & then seamed. The neck & front trim is picked up & knit at the end. The photo sample is knit in Cream, which is more of a warm grey & Steppe, a heathered pink.

We are also loving the Posee & Tinley pullovers. Posee is a wide neck sweater with an intricate lace & cable pattern. This is a fun & interesting project for a more experienced knitter. The sweater is knit flat & then seamed.
Tinley is a classic, boat-neck weekend sweater with flattering stripe detail. The simple stockinette stitch of the sweater really shows off the heathering in the yarn. Knit flat & seamed, the piece has raglan sleeves.
