Feature Pattern of the Week - One Sock

One Sock by Kate Atherley
The Fibre Co. Amble, Baby Booties in Cumbria

What if there was a sock pattern that had instructions for all sizes, as well as a “menu” to customize sock design & stitch patterns? Look no further because The Fibre Co. has just released such a pattern!

Ideal for beginners, advanced sock knitters & everyone in between, the One Sock pattern includes a detailed, top-down sock knitting guidebook with illustrations, swatch photos that show different stitch designs that can be chosen & complete sizing info. In addition, the pattern also includes a worsted weight baby bootie pattern.

The pattern also introduces options for adding in color such as stripes & colorblock heels & toes with detailed instructions on how to join in the new color for best results. The One Sock is more than a pattern, it is a sock resource guide that is a useful addition to a knitting library.

The One Sock is knit with Amble; a new yarn from The Fibre Co. Amble is a machine washable sock yarn like no other. When designing the yarn, the Fibre Co. sought to create a yarn that is gentler to the planet. To do this, they blended recycled nylon, non-chlorine washed Merino wool & alpaca fiber treated with an eco-friendly, anti-shrink, easy-wash treatment. The result is a velvety soft & cozy sock yarn that is also durable & easy to care for!

We are also loving the deep color palette that draws inspiration from English countryside.
