Pascuali Balayage & Balayage Hand Dye
In time for Spring shawl knitting, the Pascuali Balayage yarn collection has just arrived at Wool & Co.!
Pascuali is a wonderful fiber company that embodies the vision that rare, luxurious yarns of exceptional quality can be created with a focus on fair-trade, ecological production & care for the animals. The yarns are created for fiber artists who value high quality, as well as a strong sense of social responsibility.
Balayage is an exceptionally soft yarn spun from baby alpaca & organic extrafine Merino wool. The yarn was developed in collaboration with top knit designer Melanie Berg. Many of Melanie’s most popular designs are gorgeous shawls that focus on beautiful textured stitch patterns, as well as color play. The stitch definition of Balayage is ideal for knitting these shawls.
This week we are featuring three stunning shawls by Melanie Berg. The Big Easy is a simple, yet stunning garter stitch shawl with eye-catching stripes. Nixe is an elegant shawl with a pretty lace pattern & the dappled effect of a variegated hand dye colorway peaking through a solid. Rock My Shawl is a semi-circular wrap where bold stripes are softened with delicate lace for a piece that can be worn with everything from dresses to skinny jeans & an edgy top.
Here is what you will need for each shawl:
