All by Lisa Richardson featuring Rowan Tweed Haze
Light, airy & warm best describe one of Rowan’s newest yarns, Tweed Haze. This bulky delight is a spectacular blend of kid mohair & super fine alpaca. Tweed Haze was designed with a dramatic halo for show stopping knits & is studded with lovely tweed bits that add depth & interest to even simple stitch patterns. The curated color palette works beautifully together for mixing & matching.
Knit designer Lisa Richardson has created a stunning collection of quick knitting accessories & outdoor pullovers that are both fresh & modern. The 12 patterns are available a’ la carte or as a collection in the book “Rowan Tweed Haze: 12 Designs by Lisa Richardson.”
One of the standouts from the collection is the Air Wrap, a generous wrap scarf that knits up lightning fast thanks to holding two strands of Tweed Haze together. This also gives the scarf a cool marled look & blends the sections differently than a normal colorblock design. We have included photos of two different color combinations in the post; a darker version (v1) & a lighter version (v2). It was too difficult to choose!
To knit the Air Wrap you will need a size US 13, 20” or 24” circular needle (piece is 19” wide, knit flat), as well as the following yarn based on the color version you select:
V1 Darker (main photo) Rowan Tweed Haze
A. 553 Midnight - 5 balls
B. 556 Storm - 2 balls
C. 553 Setting Sun - 1 ball
D. 554 Tornado - 1 ball
E. 557 Sunset - 1 ball
V2 Lighter (second photo) Rowan Tweed Haze
A. 556 Storm - 5 balls
B. 553 Midnight - 2 balls
C. 553 Setting Sun - 1 ball
D. 554 Tornado - 1 ball
E. 557 Sunset - 1 ball
We are also loving the two cozy weekend pullovers, the Air Sweater & Whisk yoked pullover, as well as the unique tunic vest, Whirlwind. All of the patterns really showcase the yarn beautifully.
Happy Knitting!
