Look forward to layering with the Soldotna Crop by Caitlin Hunter! Simple enough for an adventurous beginner, yet interesting enough for more advanced knitters, this DK weight sweater is a relatively quick,
satisfying knit.


The top down, circular knit sweater can easily be customized to be longer if you desire. This versatile piece can be worn over a long sleeve top, tank top, with high waisted pants or even over a cute dress or skirt.

The pattern requires the following materials:

  • size US 3 & 5, 24” circular needle, body & ribbing (or size to achieve gauge)
  • size US 3 & 5 needles for small circumference knitting (DPN’s, 12” circular, magic loop)

The sweater is designed to fit with 2-4.5” positive ease at the bust & 1” positive ease at the upper arm.


Finished Circumference Bust/ Circumference Sleeve Upper Arm:

  • XS: 32.75” bust/ 11” sleeve
  • S: 36.25” bust/ 11” sleeve
  • M: 40” bust/ 11.5” sleeve
  • L: 44.25” bust/ 13” sleeve
  • XL: 48” bust/ 14.5” sleeve
  • 2X: 52.25” bust/ 16” sleeve
  • 3X: 56” bust / 18” sleeve

Yarn Yardage Requirements: XS (S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL)

  • C1 (brown in sample photo): 182 (205, 225, 270, 304, 342, 380) yards
  • C2 (light teal in sample photo): 154 (173, 190, 230, 256, 288, 320) yards
  • C3 (deep teal in sample photo): 63 (70, 80, 92, 104, 117, 130) yards
  • C4 (cream peach variegated in sample photo): 82 (92, 105, 120, 136, 153, 170) yards
