This holiday season spend more time relaxing with family & friends by knitting hand made gifts in the summer! The new collection of Malabrigo Rasta patterns has us breaking out the size 15 needles & feeling the familiar softness of our favorite super bulky in our hands.
The 16 patterns can be purchased individually or as a collection in "Malabrigo Book 19: Rasta Studio Style." Some of the stand outs in the collection include River by Knox Mountain Yarn Co., a gorgeously dramatic winter warmer with an interesting raised stitch pattern winding around the cowl.
The cowl requires 3 skeins of Malabrigo Rasta, size US 17, 16" circular needle & 10-12mm crochet hook.
Great for gifting, the Peyton mittens by Malabrigo use just 1 skein each of two colors of Malabrigo Rasta & size US 15 double point needles.
Indigo by Malabrigo is another stunning & unique cowl that will compliment any outdoor ensemble. The cowl is knit using two skeins of Malabrigo Rasta & a size 15 straight or 24” circular needle. The pattern consists of simple knits, purls, slipped stitches & yarnovers. It is knit flat & then seamed.
Last, but not least, Arya by Malabrigo is a beautiful jacket that can be dressed up or down & worn inside or out. More comfortable than a structured jacket, the knit piece moves with you. The jacket pattern is sized xs-xxxl. It is worked in one piece, beginning at the lower back edge. The sleeves are then cast on & the back shoulder & fronts are worked in two separate pieces. The front and back neck band is picked up and worked in k1, p1 rib to finish.
