Feature Pattern of the Week - The Colourist

The Colourist by Lisa Hannes,
Malabrigo Rios, color Arco Iris

Skeins of intensely hued, variegated yarn are always irresistible, however it can be a challenge to find a project that works well with the myriad of colors. The Colourist by Lisa Hannes is a stunning wrap with a classic diamond pattern & elongated slipped stitches that showcase the beauty of hand-dyed yarns. As you knit, it is exciting to see what colors will turn up in the next elongated stitch! What fun for a group knit-along!

The wrap requires just 420 yards of worsted weight yarn & a size US 8, 40”-60” circular needle. Lisa knit her wrap in 2 skeins of Malabrigo Rios, color Arco Iris.

The pattern would also be amazing in Madelinetosh Tosh Vintage (3 skeins), Malabrigo Washted (2 skeins), Hedgehog Fibres Merino Aran (3 skeins), or Manos del Uruguay Alegria Grande (3 skeins).
We recommend alternating skeins to achieve optimal blending by knitting two rows with one skein, then 2 rows with another skein & so on.

The pattern is available to purchase on Ravelry.

Just a reminder...The brick & mortar store is closed until we open our new location on May 7th, but our entire collection of variegated yarns are available online with free shipping & complimentary winding.

Happy Knitting!
