This crescent shaped shawl is worked in a mix of garter stripes and short-row wedges to create a fun interplay of two contrasting colours.
The tassels at the tips add an eye-catching element to highlight one of the colours.

It’s a fun & addictive knit that creates a modern, easy-to-wear item for your daily wardrobe.

This pattern has been created in collaboration with Malabrigo, designed especially for their Mechita in the new speckled colourways.

YARN

Designed for fingering weight yarn in 2 contrasting colours. Allow approx. 384 m /420 yds of each colour to get the size of the sample.

Yarn used for sample:
Malabrigo Mechita (fingering weight, 100 g = 384 m/420 yds), 1 skein each in colourways Paprika (colour A) and Natural (colour B)

GAUGE & NEEDLES

Not critical for this project but differences will affect yardage requirements and the finished size.
Gauge on sample: 19 sts x 38 rows = 10x10 cm / 4x4“ in garter stitch after blocking
Needles used for sample: 4 mm / US 6
