The Cardo Collection designed by the Fairmount Fibers team celebrates the newest yarn from Manos del Uruguay: Cardo! Cardo is a crisp, resilient bulky-weight yarn made of 100% Corriedale wool in a 4-ply construction.
In the Kiskadee set, 1x1 rib evolves into stockinette stitch, with the transition concealed in increases and decreases. The hat shows peaks and valleys, while the mitts spread stockinette outward from the base of the thumb until it surrounds the hand.
Hat: 16” unstretched head circumference for both sizes (will stretch to about 21”) and 7 (7¾)” tall
Mitts: 7½ (8)” hand circumference and 7 (8)” long
Manos del Uruguay CARDO (100% Corriedale wool; approx. 109 yds/100 g): 2 sks for a set of hat and mitts in either size.
Shown in D2221 Goldenrod (smaller size) and D2459 Cirrus (larger size)
Note: One skein is enough to make a single hat in either size, or a single pair of mitts in either size.
