Retail Store Cast Member (part-time)

Wool & Co. is an understated luxury, omni channel purveyor of premium yarns, needles & notions for hand knitting. Our mission is to inspire & support knitters one stitch at a time. We do this through a high level of customer service as well as creating a community for knitters.

We are looking for energetic, passionate individuals who are committed to delivering our mission to become part of our team.

Job Desciption for Retail Store Cast Member

  • Welcome & greet customers
  • Provide suggestions & help customers choose yarn, patterns, colors
  • Help to problem solve & fix customer knitting mistakes
  • Proactively offer sound advice on techniques, patterns & yarns based on personal expertise
  • Teach workshops, 101 learn to knit classes & moderate knit alongs
  • Assist with store events
  • Maintain store organization & cleanliness
  • Wind yarn into cakes using ball winder & swift
  • Check customers out using computer based retail POS system

Skill Set for Retail Store Cast Member

  • Strong computer skills & experience with Ravelry
  • Friendly & approachable manner with strong communication skills (especially listening to customers)
  • Knowledge of premium yarn brands, as well as fibers, needles/notions & knitting techniques
  • Minimum intermediate knitting skills mandatory
  • Desire to solve issues & delight customers
  • Competent & responsible with a high level of accountability
  • Dependable with ability to work weekends & evenings
  • Work well in a team focused environment
  • Ability to adapt to change

 


 

Inventory Specialist (part-time)

Job Description for Inventory Specialist

  • Sort & label incoming inventory
  • Stock inventory in warehouse using first in, first out guidelines
  • Restock retail floor as inventory levels are depleted
  • Pull orders for e-commerce shipments
  • Maintain warehouse cleanliness through sweeping, breaking down boxes, maintaining neat shelves
  • Complete inventory cycle counts on regular basis
  • Assist in warehouse reorganization as needed
  • Assist with additional warehouse related tasks as needed

Skill Set for Inventory Specialist

  • Extremely detail oriented
  • Competent & responsible with a high level of accuracy accountability
  • Strong reading skills with ability to focus on a single task
  • Dependable
  • Work well in a team focused environment
  • Ability to adapt to change
  • Must be able to climb step ladders & lift bags/totes of yarn over head
  • Ability to be on feet for entire shift

 


 

Customer Service Specialist (part-time)

Job Description for Customer Service Specialist

  • Respond to customer emails & phone calls regarding package tracking, product issues, technical knitting questions, yarn/needle recommendations, project color & design assistance
  • Provide an elevated level of customer service
  • Offer solutions that adhere to company guidelines as well as deliver strong customer satisfaction
  • Process returns & exchanges
  • Communicate product availability, mixed dye lots, estimated ship dates & discontinued or missing products

Skill Set for Customer Service Specialist

  • Detail oriented with strong written & verbal communication
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft) & comfort speaking on the phone
  • Minimum advanced beginner knitting skills preferred
  • Organized
  • Desire to solve issues & delight customers
  • Competent & responsible with a high level of accountability
