Shannon Dunbabin, the talented designer & owner behind favorite brand Cascade Yarns will be teaching Introduction to Cables & Introduction to Lace on Saturday, September 12.
Introduction to Cables, 9/12/26, 11am-1pm
Cables look amazing & have adorned knits for hundreds of years! Learn how to do this magical technique in this fun & approachable class. We promise it only looks more complicated than it is! During the workshop you will have the opportunity to swatch, learn & feel confident with cables. Enjoy a trunk show with many finished pieces for inspiration.
Description
- Learn basics of knitting cables including charts & written instructions
- Explanation of cable terminology
- For the best experience you should know how to cast on, bind off, knit, purl
Materials:
- Cascade Woolpaka (complimentary & supplied in class)
- Size US 8 straight or circular needles for swatching
- Similar gauge cable needle
- Pen or pencil

Lace stitch patterns are found in many accessory & garment patterns. They add texture, visual interest & lightness to knit pieces. Join us for this relaxing workshop where you will learn the basics of lace knitting through demonstrations, swatching & hands-on help. Enjoy a trunk show with many finished pieces for inspiration.
