Embrace & love winter in pieces knit with Jamieson’s Shetland Spindrift.

Jamieson’s produces authentic yarns produced on the Shetland Isles. Located in the North Sea, off the coast of Scotland, Shetland has a rich handknitting tradition & is known for stranded colorwork. In fact, Fair Isle is an island that is part of the Shetland Isles! Jamieson’s yarns are ideal for stranded colorwork & create extremely warm, durable garments that may be passed down through generations.

Anthe by Natasja Hornby is an incredible crescent-shaped shawl featuring this heritage yarn. The slip stitch mosaic pattern looks crisp & stunning in rich black, gold & grey. With the mosaic technique, each row is worked with just one strand of yarn, so it is very manageable- even for beginners.

The shawl begins with a garter tab & is worked from the top down. It is a perfect balance of interest & relaxation with a spectacular end result!

For those wanting a smaller project, the Hairst Hap Hood by Gudrun Johnston is a warm & versatile hood that will keep the chill away. The hood may be worn in a variety of ways & includes instructions for an optional i-cord & lace edging. The photo sample is knit in Gudrun’s custom designed color “Hairst” for Jamieson’s!
