Julie Asselin Nomade BFL

Fueled by a mission to bring together fiber artists, Julie Asselin creates artisanal hand-dyed colorways on premium yarn bases.  Located in Quebec, Canada, the team dyes a limited amount of yarn in small batches.  Each batch is slightly nuanced to deliver a lovely & unique experience for each project.

Knit your favorite sock pattern in this soft, yet durable blend of superwash Bluefaced Leicester wool & nylon.  Hard wearing with a gentle halo, the fingering weight yarn has a tight, plied twist for nice stitch definition & pilling resistance.

Julie Asselin’s hand-dyed tonals & speckles knit are perfect for stranded colorwork, color blocking, cables & other textured stitch patterns.

Artisan hand-dyed yarns have natural color variations from skein to skein. Our team will do their best to choose the best matching skeins for your order. Here are some tips to get the best results when knitting with hand-dyed yarns:

  • Purchase enough yarn for your entire project
  • Alternate skeins by knitting two rows from one skein, then two rows from another skein. This will help to blend color differences.
