Craft: Knitting

Crafted in our superbulky-weight yarn, Franca, the classic checkerboard pattern is knit in high contrast Batik (black with teal speckles) and Party (white with confetti sprinkles). The checkerboard pattern is explored on three different accessories: a tall, wards-off-the-chill cowl; a cozy beanie that covers the ears; and a skullcap that is fits snugly on the head and lets the ears out!

Size

Cowl: 24” circumference x 7½” height

Hats:

Skullcap: Adult S (16” circ, unstretched x 7½” height)

Beanie: Adult M/L (17” circ, unstretched x 9” height)

Yarn

Manos del Uruguay FRANCA (100% superwash merino; approx. 150g/114 yds), 1 sk each of 2 colors.

Note about yarn usage: One skein each of MC and CC is enough to make hat and cowl if MC and CC are inverted for second piece. 2 sk MC and 1 sk CC are needed to make both hat and cowl if MC stays the same.

Shown in F62363 Batik and F9050 Party.
