De Rerum Natura produces incredible yarns in a sophisticated, modern palette.  The yarns are small batch, artisan creations that knit into garments & accessories that will be treasured for a lifetime.  Slow fashion is exemplified in the laborious process to spin & dye each of the yarns.  All of the unbleached wool in De Rerum Natura yarns come from Arles Marino sheep.  The 21.5 micron wool is extremely soft, durable & has a gorgeous elasticity due to the pronounced crimp of the fleece.  These happy sheep pasture in the southeast of France with the best possible breeding practices. 

Everyday deserves a bit of luxury.  Penelope is a beautifully soft, DK weight yarn spun with a touch of mulberry silk.  The 6-ply yarn has a round strand for crisp stitch definition & possesses a satin sheen with beautiful drape.

Incredibly soft & comfortable to wear, the worsted-spun yarn is ideal for sweaters, cardigans, wraps & other accessories such as hats, scarves & cowls.

Country of Origin: Made from the precious fleece of Merinos d'Arles, raised in organic farming near Aureille in Provence (France) and a touch of silk (south of Shanghai, China).

These very fine fibers are combed into a ribbon to increase their softness and strength, and then spun in the Biella region of Italy, as no spinning mill in France today is capable of spinning such fine combed yarn. This single strand is then twisted to create a four-strand yarn, Dyed in Creuse (France).
