You start with the ribbed neckband. Afterwards, you start working the textured pattern and shape the poncho with increases both at the shoulders and at mid-front and mid-back as indicated in the charts. The body is worked to desired length with further shaping at mid-front and mid-back only before the poncho is finished with a ribbed edge.

The Elvira stitch pattern is charted only.

1 strand Knitting for Olive Soft Silk Mohair (225 m 246 yd / 25 g 0.9 oz), lace-weight yarn,

3 (4, 4, 4, 4, 4, 5) balls.
