A longtime source of high quality, Norwegian yarns, Hillesvåg woolen factory is a family-owned spinning mill located in Hjelmås, Norway.  With a passion for beautiful & authentic heritage yarns, the mill has been in use since the late 1800’s.  Spun with Norwegian wool, Hillesvåg yarns are lightweight, yet extremely warm.

The plump, round strand of 3-ply Embla delivers beautiful stitch definition for stranded colorwork, cabled & textured stitch patterns.  Spun with 100% Norwegian wool, the worsted weight yarn has a heritage feel that wool lovers adore.  Garments knit in Embla resist pilling & wear incredibly well.   

Especially warm for outdoor knits, the yarn is lovely for sweaters, vests, hats, mittens & cowls.  It may also be used for home décor items such as ornaments, pillows & throws.
