Craft: Knitting
The MAD LOVE CARDIGAN is knitted from the bottom up, starting with seed stitches around the waist. The front panel features beautiful cable patterns with bobbles and fake doubleknit ribbing for the edge, as described under ‘Special Stitches & Techniques’. The back is worked in plain stockinette stitch. Knit according to your size up to the armholes; then separate the front and back sections, leaving a gap for the sleeves. Just a bit before you bind off the back section, you can work some optional short rows to give the shoulders a better shape. After you finish knitting each part separately, graft the front and back together using the Kitchener stitch or a three-needle bind-off. Pick up stitches for the sleeves and continue to the cuffs, working decreases to shape the sleeves. Finish the cuffs with seed stitch.
