Craft: Knitting

The headband is knitted in two pieces, each featuring long slits in the middle and at one end, which are subsequently interwoven. The tendency of the knitted pieces to curl at the edges is intentional. The work is done throughout using two strands held together (one strand of Como Grande and one of Premia) and begins with an open cast-on, allowing the ends of the individual bands to be invisibly joined later using the kitchener stitch.
