For over 30 years, Peace Fleece has been committed to supporting suppliers around the world facing external challenges to their small business. Beginning in 2010, the brand purchased their first native Rambouillet wool from the Cook Ranch on South Dakota’s Cheyenne River Reservation. Since then, Peace Fleece has expanded & continues to work alongside the Navajo Nation to create these incredible yarns for hand knitting. The yarn is “grown,” spun & dyed in the United States.
This plump, bouncy worsted/ Aran weight yarn is an absolute delight to knit & wear. Soft, yet durable, the yarn is spun with 50% Navajo Rambouillet, 30% Fine wool & 20% mohair. The beautiful bloom after blocking fills in stitches & gives cables, stranded colorwork & textured stitch patterns exceptional definition.
The rich color palette is exceptional with each colorway possessing nuanced heathering that brings accessories & garments to life. Peace Fleece Worsted is incredibly warm & cozy for knit hats, cowls, scarves, sweaters & cardigans.
