When in doubt, opt for a quick and easy poncho/shawl mash-up--no finishing required. This wrap is worked in one piece end to end in the muted autumnal shades of Silk Garden Sock #S484, with openings left for the armholes. The main body is mostly stockinette with a twisted stitch pattern at the end of each row, bookended at the start and finish by k1, p1 ribbed edges.
