Craft: Knitting

This casual sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, holding two strands of Milano yarn together throughout; it begins at the accentuated shoulder line located across the upper back. The two front sections are knitted outwards from this shoulder line, as are the sleeves. Once the neckline is complete, the work proceeds in the round, incorporating the sleeve caps directly. The cable patterns—which initially highlight the slanted back shoulder line and the armholes—continue along the side seams after the body and sleeves are separated; due to the A-line shape of the back, they gradually shift towards the front, eventually forming a decorative finish for the lower hems (which differ in length) after the side slits begin.
