FINISHED MEASUREMENTS:
Version 1: 36¼" [92 cm] circumference and 11" [28 cm] deep / Version 2: 28" [71 cm] circumference and 10½" [26.5 cm] deep

YARN:
Version 1: Quince & Co. Puffin /shown in storm 104 / 2 skeins / Note: Sample used 2 entire skeins, consider ordering an extra skein to be safe.

Version 2: Quince & Co. Owl / hemlock 322 / 3 skeins

NEEDLES:
Version 1: 24" circular in sizes US 13 and US 15 [9 and 10 mm] / Version 2: 24" circular needle in size US 11 [8 mm]

GAUGE:
Version 1: 17 sts and 12 rnds (one pattern repeat) = approx 6" [15 cm] wide and 2¾" [7 cm] high on smaller needle

Version 2: 12 sts and 16 rnds = 4" [10 cm] over stitch pattern with yarn held double

NOTES:
Cowl is knitted from the bottom up.
