Craft: Knitting

This casual sweater is worked seamlessly from the top down, starting at the neckline, using two strands held together (one strand of Milano and one of Modena). The round neckline is worked first in rows back and forth; stitches for the back, front, and accentuated shoulder lines are then picked up from it. As work progresses, increases on both sides of the shoulder lines shape the sloping shoulders and establish the final width of the front and back, while later increases within the shoulder lines form the sleeve caps. The neckband is knitted on at the end.
