Craft: Knitting
The body of the YOLDA cardigan is worked from the bottom up with sculptural cables. Beginning at the underarm, the front sections and the back are worked separately, and the front sections are worked slightly longer so that the shoulder seam lies diagonally at the back. The sleeves are picked up from the armholes and worked from the top down, first using short rows to form a flat shoulder cap. Then they are continued in the round and finished with broad ribbed cuffs which may be folded or rolled up as desired.
Sizes:
The sizes correspond to the chest circumference as follows: S/M (L/XL; XXL/3XL; 4XL/5XL) = 32.3–35.4 (38.6–42.1; 46–50; 54–57.9)”/ 82–90 (98–107; 117–127; 137–147) cm bust circumference (measured on the body).
The cardigan has a loose, oversized fit with comfortable positive ease. Example: if you have a chest circumference of 35.4” (90 cm), you knit a size S/M and it fits with an oversized positive ease of 8.7” (22 cm).
