Sleek ribbing transitions to modern lace on this wearable sleeveless top by UK based designer Sarah Hatton. Wonderful for summer, the piece has a relaxed, yet sophisticated feel. It will happily transition from day to night.
Knit in West Yorkshire Spinners (WYS) Elements DK, the top has structure, as well as a lovely drape. Spun with Tencel Lyocell & Falkland Islands wool, the yarn has a subtle sheen & is very soft. Lyocell is a breathable fiber spun from wood fiber. It is biodegradable & has similar qualities to silk or cotton.
The Melody Lace Summer Top is a seamed piece that begins with the front & back knit flat. Next the shoulders are seamed. The neckband is created by picking up stitches around the neck, then knitting. The armholes are created in the same way with the top being finished by seaming the sides.
